Campus Overview

VidyaGyan Leadership Academy, Sitapur is located in Sitapur district, Uttar Pradesh. The residential campus educates approximately 400 students from Classes 6–12, selected through a rigorous merit-cum-need scholarship programme.

Activities Log

Tree Plantation Drive — November 2024

The campus organised a tree plantation drive, planting 120 saplings of native species in collaboration with the local forest department. Students documented the activity and calculated the estimated carbon offset.

Fairtrade Assembly — December 2024

An all-school assembly introduced Fairtrade concepts through presentations, a documentary screening, and student-led discussions. Over 380 students participated.

Classroom Modules — January–February 2025

Social Studies and Economics classes incorporated Fairtrade case studies, including the story of Indian cotton farmers and Darjeeling tea workers.

Fairtrade Switch

The campus has committed to switching the following canteen item to a Fairtrade-certified product:

  • Tea — sourcing from a Fairtrade-certified cooperative (in progress)
